Speech Pathology Services of East Tennessee is in the process of becoming a certified training provider for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). This organization is the professional, scientific, and credentialing association for more than 114,000 members and affiliates who are Audiologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Speech, Language, and Hearing Scientists. The organization’s mission is: "To promote the interests of and provide the highest quality services for professionals in Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology, and Speech and Hearing Science, and to advocate for people with communication disabilities."

Speech Pathology Services of East Tennessee, LLC believes that excellence in therapy begins with excellence in education. Each year our organization sponsors a series of nine conferences designed to provide practical application of therapy techniques. Topics are varied and reflect the dynamic diversity in the everyday caseload of the speech-language pathologist. These conferences are designed for the practicing speech-language pathologist, special educator, classroom teacher, or allied health professional working with children who have communication disorders. Parents are welcome to attend these activities and learn strategies to support their child’s therapy program. Our conferences are held on the fourth Monday of the month, from August to May. No conferences are held in December.
