Mission Statement
Through excellence in therapy, training and teamwork, when one of us touches a child, we all touch that child.

History
Speech Pathology Services of East Tennessee, LLC., began in 1989 to meet the needs of local rehabilitation centers, home health agencies, skilled nursing facilities and hospitals. In 2001, the company was asked to participate in a Project TEACH pilot program for a local school system.

Instead of group therapy, the children were provided individual therapy for as many sessions as their needs required. Six students participated in the pilot program, four were successfully discharged.

Throughout the past three years, we’ve enjoyed many similar success stories. We’ve built a strong and stable foundation for our new phase of rapid growth as we expand this proven medical model to reach more children.

Our involvement with Project TEACH has grown to serve nine school systems, and we have grown from two employees to more than 30. We are serving 1,200 students during the current school year, and we expect to serve 1,500 in the 2008-09 year.
